What do our Master in Management-alumni do after graduation?
We give our all to provide the best education to our Full-time Master of Science in Management-students, to ensure they build a solid foundation for their future career. But what happens after graduation? 🎓 What kind of careers do they have? And in what way did their time at Nyenrode contribute to the opportunities they have seized?
We asked three alumni to tell us more:
- Sanne van der Kroft, 25, Specialization Digital Business & Innovation
- Maarten van Kessel, 26, Specialization Financial Management
- Parineeta Modi, 27, Specialization Global Business
Subjects that captivate your interest
It took the alumni 3 to 6 months to find their first job after graduation. Sanne first took some wanted time off, and after 3 months found her current job as a Junior Product Manager at TerraSana Positive Eating. “Learning about the career paths and decisions of numerous alumni has given me valuable clarity regarding my own direction. I’ve come to understand the importance of pursuing what truly ignites my passion. Also, opting for a specific track has allowed me to delve into subjects that genuinely captivate my interest, rather than merely completing obligatory courses.”

After a 5-month search, Maarten is working as a Sales Operations Manager at Mars NL, though he’d rather have started with a Traineeship due to the rapid pace of developing yourself: “I underestimated the selection process. But after determining which role in which department suited me best – valuable advice from my network – I’m now very pleased to work at Mars NL, where they have a great emphasis on personal development as well.”
Personal development and networking
Maarten says it’s the thing that stuck most with him looking at his time at Nyenrode: the constant focus on personal development. “The faculty and mentors helped me to explore my true identity and I was constantly challenged to become a better version of myself.”

In addition, Maarten emphasizes the importance of having built – and still building – his network: “I made many lifelong friends at Nyenrode and learned a great deal, which both form a solid foundation for my future career. Also, the connections I’ve made within my fraternity have already proven to be very valuable, by being able to connect with employees at leading companies within the FMCG industry.”

Entrepreneurial skills and introspection
Parineeta found her dream job after a relentless search of 6 months. “I started as a Consultant for Ojasvi Advisory, and climbed the corporate ladder within a year to become the Vice President Sales and Business Development. Especially the entrepreneurial skills I acquired during my time at Nyenrode, have been invaluable in my current position. I learned how to identify opportunities, how to find innovative solutions and how to adapt to rapid changes. The experiential approach at Nyenrode enabled me to grasp theoretical concepts while applying them to real-world scenarios.”

Parineeta specifically remembers the subject Personal Leadership and Career Development (PLCD): “We engaged in challenging introspective exercises and wrote an individual reflection paper. This process provided valuable insights into my identity as a human being, a team member and a future leader. All in all, my journey at Nyenrode has been truly enriching, offering a holistic blend of academic excellence and real-world experiences.”
